Faster, closer to wrestling

No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu

Rashguard and shorts, higher pace, modern systems. Most students train both styles.

No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu training at Knots & Collar, Defence Colony, New Delhi

No-gi jiu-jitsu is trained in a rashguard and shorts instead of the uniform. With no collars or sleeves to hold, the pace is faster and the grips are on the body — closer to wrestling, and the format used in most of MMA.

The systems are more modern and the scrambles more athletic, but the principle is the same as gi: leverage and position over strength. Many students train both and find each sharpens the other — gi teaches patience and control, no-gi teaches movement and speed.

Classes run through the week for all levels, from your first day to advanced.
