Which martial art is best for your child?
The honest answer isn’t a single art — it’s the right class. What you’re really choosing is whether your child learns confidence and composure without being taught to hit first, in a room grouped by age and built on respect. That’s what we do, from age three, in Defence Colony — and the first class is free.
Kids classes at Knots & Collar, Defence Colony — grouped by age, built around quiet confidence.

Look at the class, not just the art
Parents spend a lot of energy choosing between arts, when the bigger difference is the class itself. Whatever the style, the things that make it work for a child are the same: grouped by age so a five-year-old and a twelve-year-old each train in a way that fits; coaches who are genuinely good with children; and a culture where the goal is respect, not winning.
From age three
The youngest build coordination, listening and confidence through games; the technique grows with them.
Confidence, not aggression
Grappling teaches a child to stay calm and in control, not to hit first. A confident child has less to prove.
Safe, and looked after
Children learn to tap and to look after their partner from day one — one of the lower-impact ways to start.

Classes, parties and schools
The weekly kids jiu-jitsu class runs Monday to Saturday. For a group, we also run kids mat parties and in-school sessions and workshops across Delhi NCR.

What parents say
Had a wonderful experience with this jujutsu class. The environment is calm, welcoming, and well-organized, and the coaches are exceptional with young children… My child looks forward to every class.
K&C has become a cornerstone of our 6 year old’s confidence, physicality and moral compass. Kindness over toughness! Well done to the whole team.
Knots & Collar is a fantastic place with an amazing set of coaches! My 7 yo son has practically spent his entire last year and a half on the mats here and has really evolved in ways more than one!
My son loves it here. Teachers are extremely sensitive to the capabilities of every child, and hence the sessions feel safe and enjoyable, both for kids and parents. There is a good mix of group play and individualized attention.
I am extremely happy to see my son learning Jiu-Jitsu at this institution. The coaches are not only excellent at teaching techniques, but they also instill discipline, confidence, and teamwork in the kids. The environment is very safe, clean, and supportive.
Great experience for kids. My daughter, 4 yo, has gained so much in skills and confidence. The team is absolutely amazing and the facility is great.
