A birthday on the mats
A structured, properly fun jiu-jitsu session for the whole group — games, movement and real techniques the children will want to show you afterwards. From age three, at the studio in Defence Colony. You bring the kids; we bring the coaches and the mats.
Real kids classes at Knots & Collar, Defence Colony — grouped by age, built around quiet confidence.

What it is
A coached, structured, genuinely fun jiu-jitsu session for the whole group — games, movement and real, safe techniques. Built for first-timers, grouped by age, and run by coaches who are good with children.
What it isn’t
We don’t do cakes, food, balloons or decorations. You sort the celebration; we run the mats. That’s the deal — and it’s why the session is properly good rather than an add-on to an event.
The session
Games to warm up, movement, and real jiu-jitsu pitched to the group — coached start to finish.
Grouped by age
The session is pitched to the ages in the room, so the youngest and the oldest are each doing something that fits.
Safe, and looked after
No rough sparring, coaches leading throughout, and everyone learning to look after the person across from them.
Before you book
What exactly is a mat party?
Do you arrange cakes, food or decorations?
What ages is it for?
Do the children need any experience?
What should they wear, and is it safe?
Where does it happen, and how do we book?
Tell us about the group
A few details and we’ll call to find a date that works and talk through how the session runs. If your child loves it, the weekly kids jiu-jitsu class is right here.
