Back control
Back control from the bottom first: how to invert out of it, what to do when they chase you, and the ankle lock waiting when they cross their feet.
Survival
Hold your toes from the inside
Legs in, hold your toes from the inside, not the outside. If mobility is a problem, lean forward as far as you can. Every escape here starts from this.
Keep looking to the safe side
Fight for your head position. If their head ends up underneath yours, you have a problem. Move the head, turn your pocket, keep moving.
Escapes
Fall to the side and invert
Choose a side, fall and invert. Exchange the feet, raise the hip and remove the control. If they are not inverting with you, there is no back control.
Hook first or invert first
If clearing the hook after the inversion is hard, remove the first hook, invert, then remove the other. Either order works.
Half an inversion against the seat belt
Against the seat belt you will not get a full inversion. Half is enough to start: add the pocket turn as you fall, stay sticky, shoulder walk.
Transitions
They chase: shoulder walk, hooks in
They invert with you on one hook. Stay there, remove the hook, shoulder walk, hooks in with feet inwards, sit up. You end up behind them.
Submissions
Crossed feet: step over, ankle lock
As you invert, step over their top ankle. Triangle your own foot with their ankle against your knee pit, pinch the knees, hips forward slowly.
The cross foot, the whole ankle
Fall to the side that leaves your fighting leg free, and take the cross foot. You want the entire ankle, not the toes. Ankle against ankle is bad for your own hip and knee.
Elbow in, push the knee
If hips forward is not enough, elbow in and push their knee. The hand works with the hip. It does not replace it.
